Bulk loading station for Sarabeo 5 oil rig

One of the first bulk loading station projects with an electrical drive. The solution required to research new suppliers for components, research and prove new design, conform design to the standards.

​​This bulk loading station project was a new revision of the previous generation reel project not only because of the electrical drive instead of hydraulic but the overall design was optimized for production. This step allowed to fit in a very tight engineering/production time frame but also saved costs on materials and labor. I have been involved in this project from the bid phase to product final acceptance by the client and further as an expert - assistance for installation on an oil rig, full-scale product commissioning, and oil rig personnel training. As a project manager, I was the main contact person for the client (including technical/engineering, financial, project planning and coordination, etc). Equipment was certified according to various Norsok, DNV, and other client-specific standards.
