80-Ton umbilical reels

At these General Electric facilities, the main products were huge reels for various cables.

​​These reels are mostly used to deploy cable at the sea bed. The cable that is winded on the reel afterward is very expensive, therefor the requirements for these reels are within very high standards.

​​One reel weight is approx 80 metric tons, external diameter approx 17 meters.
